AX agents
How the AX chat agent researches Context, designs and runs experiments, and reports what they showed.
The AX chat agent answers questions about Fiveonefour in the web app's chat panel and acts on the page you have open. When your organization has AX research enabled, it hands evaluation work to AX Evaluate, which researches your product's Context, designs and runs experiments, and writes up the results. AX Evaluate does that by delegating to specialist agents, and reports back in the same conversation. A conversation is private to the member who started it.
| Agent | What it does |
|---|---|
| AX Evaluate | Turns your request into one job: collect Context, design experiments, run them within the budget you approve, and analyze the results. |
| AX Context | Lists the open questions about your product and delegates them to Company, Persona, Use Case, Category and Product Context. Product Context researches the product's interfaces, capabilities and user flows. AX Context reconciles their answers into one brief and keeps unresolved conflicts as questions. |
| AX Experiment | Plans experiments from the saved Context, estimates their cost, creates and repairs experiment files, and runs them. Every planned run gets a status, including runs that never started. |
| AX Insights | Writes up findings with counts, denominators and links to the runs behind them. Setup failures are reported apart from product behavior, and next tests are proposed, never rerun on their own. |
| AX Behavior | Proposes behavior definitions with evidence. It never activates or retires a version: that stays your action. |
Approvals and spending
Agents never approve spend for you. AX Evaluate asks you to approve a budget before any experiment runs, and asks again if scaling up would exceed it. A cost estimate shows unknown pricing as a gap rather than a guess.
Researching a product you already have
Researching a product that is already in your Context updates it instead of creating a second copy:
- Objects the research finds again are updated in place.
- An object you deleted stays deleted. AX reports that it was not restored.
- A field you edited keeps your value. When the research disagrees, AX reports the conflict and attaches the research's sources to the object as evidence.
- Owners and experiment or report assignments are never changed.
Import pages are retired
The product import and company import pages are gone; ask the AX chat agent to research Context instead. Old import links redirect to your organization's Products list or to the saved Company. Context, experiments and reports saved earlier are unchanged.
