model list
List models and the agent versions that support them.
ax model list [--agent <AGENT[@VERSION]>] [--all-versions] [--model-family <FAMILY> | --model <MODEL>...]| Argument / flag | What it does |
|---|---|
--agent <AGENT[@VERSION]> | Limit results to one agent. cursor selects its latest version; cursor@<VERSION> selects an exact version. |
--all-versions | List every supporting version, not only the latest. Cannot be combined with an exact @<VERSION>. |
--model-family <FAMILY> | Limit results to one catalog model family, such as google/gemini-flash or gemini-flash. |
--model <MODEL> | Limit results to this model id or catalog alias. Repeat for more models. Requested models stay listed, with None, when no selected agent version supports them. Cannot be combined with --model-family. |
An agent version supports a model when the registry lists the model for that
version and the pairing is not unsupported.
Untested (unknown) pairings count as supported. Without --agent, each agent
shows the most recent version that supports the model, labeled latest when it
is that agent's newest version.
Examples:
# Models supported by Cursor's latest version
ax model list --agent cursor
# Which Cursor versions support two specific models
ax model list --agent cursor --all-versions \
--model anthropic/claude-haiku-4-5 --model openai/gpt-5-miniPiped output is one tab-separated row per model: the canonical model id, then
the supporting <AGENT>@<VERSION> pairs separated by commas (- when none).
